You were never meant to do life alone.
We are a nonprofit clothing brand confronting the mental health crisis by building real human connection through community-led events and shared experiences. We help you create spaces where relationships form and people feel a true sense of belonging because we believe connection isn’t optional, it’s essential to strong mental health and thriving communities. By bringing people together, we work upstream, preventing isolation before it turns into anxiety, depression, and something deeper.
Why we exist.
We exist because we understand that you can be in a crowded room and still feel alone and that you can want community and still be priced out of it. We also know that when people come together, they often don’t have the tools to turn that moment into real connection. We believe access to belonging should never be a luxury dependent on your income, and that people deserve support in actually building meaningful connection once they’re together. This is what makes us different from other social platforms.
What makes us different.
No cost barriers to connection
Every gathering is free or pay-what-you-can so that income is never a barrier to host or participate.
Designed to create real connection, not just events
Our gatherings include simple, research-informed tools that help people move beyond small talk and actually connect.
Support for anyone to bring people together
We provide toolkits, structure, and funding so anyone, not just experienced organizers, can successfully host meaningful gatherings.
The Gear
Wear the mission. 100% of profits help build stronger mental health in our communities.
Connection is breaking down and it’s affecting more than we think.
Nearly 1 in 2 adults report feeling lonely.
Not because they don’t want connection but because it’s become harder to find, inaccessible to many and lack the skills to build connection.
Work has changed. Communities have shifted.
And many of the spaces where relationships once formed naturally no longer exist.
This isn’t just a social issue, it’s a health one.
Research shows that social isolation is linked to increased risk of anxiety, depression, heart disease, and even premature mortality at levels comparable to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
And yet, most solutions focus on treatment after people are already struggling rather than creating connection before they get there.
A different kind of nonprofit
The Red Thread Collective is built on a simple idea: connection can be created intentionally, accessibly, and at scale. Our model combines community-led experiences with a mission-driven clothing brand to make that possible.
We fund and support local gatherings designed to bring people together in real life from creative workshops and shared meals to small group experiences built around common interests. These events are free or “pay what you can,” making them accessible to a wide range of people.
Instead of organizing everything ourselves, we empower individuals to host. Anyone can apply to become a Thread Leader and request funding to create an event in their community. This allows connection to grow organically shaped by the people and cultures within each community.
Our clothing is more than merchandise, it’s part of the model. Connection starts in the local community so the designs reflect each city's unique vibe. Instead of donating a small portion back to a cause, 100% of our profits are reinvested directly into our mission.
